Faith for COVID-19
7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.
2 Timothy 1:7 NLT
Our nation and our planet have been overwhelmed with the rise of virus known as COVID-19. This virus spreads quickly and experts are still gathering information about it. In the midst of this global crisis, I want to share a word of encouragement with you.
The good news is that the church has everything it needs to shine brightly in this time of confusion and chaos.
2 Timothy 1:7 offers us some great wisdom about how believers should handle adverse circumstances. Paul shares three rights that we should hold fast to in challenging times. He encourages us to reject the response of fear and to instead exercise our God-given rights or power, love, and self-discipline.
Exercise your power by remaining vigilant and focused as our nation works through these challenges. This is the time for us to pray knowing that God hears us and responds. Prayer is essential to the believer and this is the perfect time to develop your prayer life. Read more about prayer here.
Exercise love by being considerate of others. Be patient in long lines, help those who are in need, especially the elderly, and be understanding of those who are afraid. You can be the calm voice in a loud, chaotic world.
Exercise self-discipline by doing what you can to halt the advances of Covid-19. Wash your hands and avoid unnecessary contact with others. Most of all, TRUST GOD. Remind yourself that God is in control and that He is worthy of our trust. He has kept mankind through numerous viruses, plagues, and diseases. He will keep us through this too.
In the past year, 42% of pastors have considered leaving the ministry.
The reasons vary. Some are overwhelmed, some over worked, some just plain tired.
That's why we created the CHURCH SYSTEMS BOOTCAMP. It's a coaching program where we help leaders grow their church with our burning out the leaders or using complicated marketing strategies.
We introduce leaders to the 3G Model and how churches are already using it to grow.
